Lucidity Pictures at NRB 2025: Building Connections and Expanding Outreach

The cool 65-degree weather in Dallas this past week was a welcome change from the freezing temperatures of Iowa and Nebraska. Donning a blazer instead of a ski jacket, I entered the grand entrance of the Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center, where the 2025 NRB (National Religious Broadcasters) Convention was held.

Spanning over 400,000 square feet, the Gaylord Texan is nothing short of breathtaking with its massive atrium, intricately designed stone structures, flowing water features, and luxurious architecture. The venue’s grandeur set the perfect tone for what would be an incredible few days at the largest convention of Christian broadcasters in the world.

While Lucidity Pictures is not religiously or politically affiliated, and Cradled in Glass is not from a religious or political perspective, I was excited to learn from and build relationships within the broadcast media space.
This year’s NRB Convention saw over 5,000 registered attendees, with hundreds of booths filling the expansive expo hall. If it involved media and broadcasting, it was here—film screenings, news channels, distributors, television networks, podcasts, and radio stations all under one roof.
The opening session was nothing short of inspiring. Addressing the vast crowd, an NRB leadership speaker announced that 2025 marked the convention’s most attended year yet, continuing a six-year upward trend. The magnitude of the event was clear from the thousands of filled seats, illuminated by 15-foot-tall LED screens showcasing event sponsors such as Amazon Prime and cutting-edge AI software companies.
The speaker invited first-time attendees to stand—many did—followed by those who had attended at least 20 NRB conventions. Witnessing the standing ovation for long-time attendees was a testament to the strong community built over decades of shared media missions. “You will make friends here,” the speaker promised, “build relationships, and help get your media projects off the ground while assisting others in their work.” That spirit of mentorship and collaboration was palpable throughout the event.

The convention offered a dynamic range of forums and workshops, featuring top-tier panelists from organizations like Fox News and EWTN News. Hands-on workshops covered topics such as “Top AI Tools – ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini” and “How to Unite Social, Streaming, Broadcast, and Cable to Build a Powerhouse Outreach.” The TV Showcase provided an opportunity for production companies to present sizzle reels of their recent projects and engage in meaningful discussions with distributors about potential partnerships.

One of the most impactful aspects of attending NRB 2025 was hearing from various organizations and individuals about how needed the conversation around IVF is. We connected with many who have navigated IVF and infertility treatments, grappling with the same questions so many people face. It was humbling to share some of the research and interviews we’ve gathered for Cradled in Glass and to listen to stories from those personally affected by the issues we’re addressing.
Although I couldn’t stay for the full four days—departing early to film for Cradled in Glass—I am grateful for the opportunity to have attended. The energy, the connections, and the invaluable insights gained from NRB 2025 will undoubtedly inform and strengthen our work moving forward. I am already looking forward to next year’s convention in Nashville! Follow us to see how these connections further our progress.
Sincerely,
The Producer of Cradled in Glass
